PANFP-DSR
Pantoprazole Sodium (EC) & Domperidone (SR) Capsule
Pantoprazole works by inhibiting the final stage in the formation of stomach acid. Pantoprazole inhibits gastric acid and basal acid secretion by covalently binding to the H+/K+ ATP pump in the stomach’s gastric parietal cell. For up to 24 hours and longer, the covalent binding stops acid secretion.
Domperidone is a selective dopamine receptor blocker. It acts as an antiemetic as a tool in the research of dopaminergic systems by speeding up gastrointestinal peristalsis and causing prolactin secretion. Galactorrhea, gynecomastia, and menstrual abnormalities are some of the side effects.
